中東呼吸症候群冠狀病毒感染症(MERS-CoV)疫情嚴峻，新北市政府日前指示市府各機關、學校、社區等全體動員，共同防疫，也請衛生局督導第一線防疫人員，落實各項防疫措施，除了檢查設備與標準作業流程外，也實施例行抽查，確保醫院提高警覺，為因應防疫工作，醫療院所於周末假日，也開始輪班或是停休。衛生局表示，目前已經備妥25000多個N95口罩、10家隔離醫院，以及80個負壓隔離病床，積極投入防疫工作，也會將防疫作為，透過網路和新聞稿發布，隨時更新，讓民眾掌握第一手訊息，達到了解和安心。
